Taipei Dangdai Art & Ideas 2024

Organised by The Art Assembly and presented by UBS, the fifth edition of the Taipei Dangdai Art & Ideas art fair was held in May 2024 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre. In all, 78 galleries from 19 countries and territories exhibited, welcoming collectors, curators and other art professionals from around the globe.

Since its very first edition, Pico has helped shape Taipei Dangdai into the regional art powerhouse it is today. As an official contractor for the 2024 edition, the team delivered comprehensive technical services for both the organiser and individual galleries.

Visitors to the show circulated among five major sectors: ‘Galleries’ showcased exhibits from established galleries in Taiwan, Asia and further abroad; ‘Engage’ was dedicated to contemporary works influenced by the diverse aesthetic traditions of Asia; ‘Edge’ offered a selection of cutting-edge and emerging art; and ‘Node’ presented large-scale and immersive installations exceeding the boundaries of the traditional art fair booth. The fifth sector, ‘Evoke’, was a newly introduced showcase of solo or curated presentations by historically significant artists.

Preceded by a VIP Preview and Vernissage on 9 May, the fair welcomed over 35,000 visitors in total.
